Application Engineer

1. Work closely with customers (external) and design/marketing teams (internal)
2. Create engaging product demonstrations to highlight key product features
3. Support existing and new product launches by creating technical collateral
4. Increase product adoption/retention through high quality documentation (data sheets, user guides, application notes, etc.) and evaluation tools
5. Expand the reach of our capacitive sensing solutions through digital content like videos and technical articles.
6. Conduct laboratory experiments to benchmark against competitor components and highlight Semtech advantages
7. Sales/Field Application support: Provide product training to field teams and create training collateral/presentations for new product launches.
8. Industry engagement: Attend tradeshows/workshops/conferences and collaborate with reference design partners for joint promotional efforts.

1. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
2. 0-3 years of product applications experience in the automotive market
3. Strong customer engagement skills, including communication, presentation, and technical writing skills.
4. Knowledge of Analog / Mixed-signal Circuitry, and ADCs
5. Experience working in a lab environment (comfortable working with/automating lab equipment: e.g. oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, etc.)
6. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and enthusiastic, with a commitment to achieving business objectives
7. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and share knowledge with colleagues
