Responsibilities
  1. Undertake detailed engineering design.
  2. Plan and help manage CAD & REVIT documentation of design work.
  3. Work closely with and monitor the performance of the Technician (as appropriate).
  4. Perform under the guidance of senior staff, in successful completion of assigned tasks, represent Buro Happold at meetings with the client, other professionals, and suppliers.
  5. Ensure service and project work are carried out within agreed deadlines and within budget.
  6. Ensure that appropriate service/design decisions are met.
  7. Ensure senior staff are kept informed of important and relevant service/design decisions, and the objectives of the company and the client are achieved.
  8. Coordinating his/her work with other members of the project team.
  9. Ensuring all relevant Buro Happold staff are informed of client matters.
  10. Continually ensuring that practices, policies, strategy, and services represent the client’s and Buro Happold’s best interests and that Buro Happold policy is in keeping with current legislation, Indian Standards, and Codes of Practice, etc.
Qualifications
  1. BE/B-Tech with 2 years’ experience or MTech (Mechanical or Civil Engineering)
  2. Basic understanding of plumbing principles, fire codes, and other relevant standards.
  3. Basic Knowledge of the principles of hydraulic and plumbing systems.
  4. Familiarity with plumbing fixtures & fire protection equipment
  5. Basic knowledge in pumping systems and pressure drop calculations.
  6. Capable of understanding architectural and structural layouts with minimum assistance.
  7. Basic knowledge in CAD & Revit.
  8. Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (a detailed understanding, including the use of macros).
  9. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  10. The applicant will need to have strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
